The NYUAD Music Technology & Sound Recording (MTSR) Group, created by Assistant Program Head of Music and Assistant Professor of Music Technology Matteo Marciano, is a community of students, artists, musicians, audio engineers, producers, composers, educators, and creative music technologists based at NYU Abu Dhabi.
The NYUAD Music Technology & Sound Recording (MTSR) Group focuses its research in digital media technologies in the areas of audio engineering music production, recording technologies and post production applications that will shape the future of entertainment. This Group of audio technology enthusiasts strive to strengthen the community of Music Tech students at NYUAD.
The MTSR Group focuses on preparing students for a successful future in audio engineering, production and post-production, multimedia, audio signal processing, acoustics, music perception, and game audio production.
Our mission is to provide a collaborative framework for committed students, to apply their musical technological creativity to the development of innovative artistic and technological arts.
Music Technology & Sound Recording should be understood as the study of music in relation to its tools and techniques. In this capacity, it incorporates research, innovation, integration of tools and resources in practice that are relevant to the field of music.
